Warranty
Three warranties, kept apart
They come from different people and cover different things. Your estimate says which you are getting.
The shingle maker's warranty
Covers the shingles against manufacturing defects. The maker sets its length and what it covers, and it is not a warranty on our work.
An enhanced system warranty
Some makers offer a longer warranty on a roof built from their whole system, when a qualified contractor registers it. We say on the estimate if yours qualifies.
Our workmanship warranty
Covers the labor that installed your roof, for the number of years written on your estimate. Terms, limits and exclusions are in the written warranty.

Questions
Warranty and paperwork
What warranty comes with a new roof?
Two parts: the shingle maker's material warranty, and our own workmanship warranty. Their lengths and exclusions are written in your estimate and the warranty papers.
Does a roofer in Louisiana need a license?
Louisiana licenses residential roofing through the State Licensing Board for Contractors. Ask any roofer for the number and look it up on the board's site before you sign.
Do you take a deposit, and do you offer financing?
Your estimate says what is due and when. Ask us about deposits before you sign, and ask for any financing terms in writing: the rate, the term and the lender.
Can I cancel after I sign?
If you sign at home, you may have 3 business days to cancel. In many states you can also cancel after your insurer denies a claim. Ask us for the terms in writing.
Ask to see the papers
Before you sign, ask for the license number, the insurance certificate and the warranty in writing.
